Featured Spot: South Austin Gallery
Are you the type who enjoys photography, along with vintage clothing and vinyl records?
If you do, you need to stop by South Austin Gallery in Bouldin. It’s located on the corner of W. Mary St. and South 1st next to the Soup Peddler. What a great find in the Bouldin neighborhood. This gallery has a vast collection of different photos taken all over Austin. When you walk inside you will notice unique and creative coasters and cutting boards with photographs that capture local hotspots, business, and scenery.
The idea of this gallery started in 2005 with the owners Jennifer and Joseph Worth selling their photography on West 6th Street and the Drag. Since they started they have been capturing all different parts of Austin and showcasing the photographs in several different ways. They offer a series of services from photography sessions at events, photo booth parties, to custom vintage framing. What’s really impressive is their pricing on framing with prices varying from $10, $20, and $30.
Enjoy shopping vintage clothing and vinyl records here with their impressive but affordable selection. The music inside the gallery will set you in the mood — with the photographs of Austin in the place; appreciate the places you never noticed at all through these photos!
This place is a must-see if you have never stopped by South Austin Gallery.
