  1. It’s hard to go wrong with a palette of neutral colors especially in those areas that are most lived in, living rooms, bedrooms etc.. People may not go gaga over neutral taupes, sands, grays, and creams, but they’re unlikely to have a strong negative reaction to it.

Using a smoky blue might be a good choice for a bathroom. It’s still not such a strong color that it’s likely to put people off, and in most bathrooms the color is almost an accent since there usually isn’t much of it.

If you’re prepping your home for sale and you’re putting up fresh paint, I would keep the master bedroom as neutral as possible as well. The suggestion in the article for Pale Smoke in the master may end up looking more blue than gray in your home which might put off those folks who aren’t crazy about blue.

You are smart to be thinking this way…as a seller, your home is a product that will have competition in the market. Considering how best to “package” and position your ‘product’ will put you ahead of the game!

Please let me know if I can help you in any way get your home ready!

    Allison
