We would sit in the outdoor venue and read books, drink our beverages of choice, meet new people and chat about life.Walking to HomeSlice Pizza when mom was too tired to cook dinner. There were no arguments as they each were free to choose their favorite slice. After a pizza dinner, walking down a couple of blocks for dessert at Amy’s ice cream. During the walk back in the dark, they would marvel at the beauty of The Capitol, lit up and appearing so close they said they felt like they could touch it. And mom ..Meeting for happy hour at either Enoteca for a glass of wine (or two) or at Guerros for a margarita … then walking home.Splurging on a remarkable dinner at what are still two of my favorite Austin restaurants: Vespaio and South Congress Café.Krisstina Wise Reviews Travis Heights
