Selling your home in today’s market requires visibility beyond just the MLS. Sadly, the majority of real estate Agents – Traditional Agents – rely solely on this method of “marketing”

Q: How active are you on the web? Where do you fall on Google so that potential buyers can find your site and therefore my home?

A: 30% of all GoodLife Team closings initiate from web searches. We fall on the first page of Google for dozens of key real estate terms (“austin condos”, “east austin real estate”) and hundreds of local search terms like street names and neighborhoods. In addition, we are one of the few Austin real estate brokerages employing a full local Google optimization strategy.

Q: How often are you updating content on your website? Is it static or do you regularly make updates to draw in and engage with potential buyers?

A: We have strategically designed our site to be interactive. Our home page features a video player, social media feeds, and relevant current offers. In addition, we are regularly adding new blog articles and responding to comments. In fact, over and over, we are acknowledged as having one of the best real estate websites in the industry, which means more exposure for you.

Q: Have you won any real estate technology awards?

A: As evidence of uncommon knowledge and competence in Social Media and Technology, the GoodLife Team has earned numerous awards over the past 12 months. These include:

These are just a few of the awards that we have received. Visit our Accomplishments page for a full list.

Q: What new technology tools have you adopted in the last 12 months?

A: Due to the fact that 87% of people start their search online, we completely overhauled our entire website, moving to a complete web 2.0 platform. We moved from an off-the-shelf contact management system for real estate agents to Salesforce.com, a full contact & lead management and quality control system chosen by Fortune 500 companies. We continue to build custom solutions within Salesforce to better manage lead capture, tracking and communication.

Q: Beyond the MLS, how else will my property be exposed to the market?

A: In addition to the traditional methods of marketing (signage, MLS, e-mail campaigns, direct mail, etc.) we extensively use social media marketing (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, etc.), listing syndication, and search engine optimization to maximize the exposure of your home to BOTH the physical and virtual market of potential buyers.

Q: How is your website optimized?

A: A well-optimized website is like a piece of artwork. There is a balance between copy written for the reader and copy written for Google’s robots. The end result is a site that is easily found on search engines but useful and easy to navigate by the prospective buyer.

Q: How do you capture, follow up with and convert prospects on your website?

A: Driving potential buyers to your home isn’t going to matter if your Agent doesn’t have the technology for tracking, capturing and communicating to those buyers. The entire purpose of technology in real estate is to turn virtual showings into physical showings. The GoodLife Team has one of the most sophisticated web analytic and lead management systems in the industry; custom designed & built to include weekly reports that create complete transparency into what we are doing to market your home, the traffic it receives, and the feedback given.

Q: How quickly do you respond to potential buyers when they inquire about a property?

A: We cannot emphasize enough the importance of the answer to this question. Most sellers would be shocked to know the lackadaisical response times of most Agents when it comes to responding to inquiries, leads, questions, phone calls, e-mails, etc. on a seller’s listed home. Sadly, the response time for the Traditional Agent is well over 24 hours, if they even respond at all. At the GoodLife Team, we are different. It begins with answering the phone. Shocking, I know. It is a rare occasion when a caller goes to voicemail. When that occurs, calls AND all lead inquiries are returned within the hour. This isn’t an empty promise. We have the standards and structures in place to do so.

Q: How will you keep me informed about the virtual and physical traffic on my home?

A: We believe that our seller’s deserve complete transparency into everything we are doing to sell their home. For that reason we have designed a custom reporting system that provides information on every marketing activity, every sales call and all showing feedback.
